Women’s Recovery Residences
FreshSTART currently has two houses for women in Maury County. One is Discipleship House in Mount Pleasant. The other house is conveniently located in the city limits of Columbia, TN.

Our women’s houses are faith-based women’s recovery residences that houses women for as long as a year during which time they receive the support, mentoring and education needed to live life clean and sober. Each house has 24 hour supervision and includes programming, room and board, transportation to and from work and meetings and spiritual direction, as well as Recovery Support.

The Discipleship House has been in operation for 14 years and is a 501c3 non-profit. The staffing at Discipleship House is provided by FreshSTART and includes Certified Peer Recovery Specialists. All staff members have their own Recovery story and are seasoned professionals who understand what it takes for the women we work with to achieve success.

The Recovery Residences offers women community and friendship, weekly attendance at area 12-step meetings, Recovery church services, Celebrate Recovery and fun outings and sober events each month. Women work together to care for the spacious home, make meals and volunteer in the community. Families can visit at the facility and the Level System offers women an opportunity to earn freedom and pass time, as they show their readiness and ability to accept the responsibility.

The Discipleship House accepts women from all walks of life, including  Drug Court, on furlough or on probation and parole, provided we can accommodate transportation to required court dates and other conditions set forth by the judicial system.
