Discipleship House for Women
The Discipleship House is a faith-based women’s transitional house that houses up to 6 women and one staff person. Women stay for as long as a year and receive the support, mentoring and education needed to live life clean and sober. The Discipleship House has 24 hour supervision and programming and includes room and board, transportation and spiritual direction, as well as Recovery Support.
The Discipleship House has been in operation for 14 years and is a 501c3 non-profit. The staffing at Discipleship House is provided by FreshSTART and includes Certified Peer Recovery Specialists. All staff members have their own Recovery story and are seasoned professionals who understand what it takes for the women we work with to achieve success.
The Discipleship House offers women community and friendship, weekly attendance at area 12-step meetings, Recovery church services, Celebrate Recovery and fun outings and sober events each month. Women work together to care for the spacious home, make meals and volunteer in the community. Most women have a private bedroom. Families can visit at the facility and the Level System offers women an opportunity to earn freedom and pass time, as they show their readiness and ability to accept the responsibility.
The Discipleship House accepts women from Drug Court, on furlough or on probation and parole, provided we can accommodate transportation to required court dates and other conditions set forth by the judicial system.
