    Description:

    FreshSTART is seeking volunteer drivers to assist with transportation needs for our residents. As a volunteer driver, you will provide transportation for work, doctor's appointments, job searches, and other FreshSTART programming. Your support is essential in helping our residents access the resources they need to successfully transition to a clean and sober life.

     

    Responsibilities:

    Safely transport residents to and from appointments, job searches, and activities.

    Maintain a clean and safe vehicle for transportation.

    Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.

    Communicate effectively with FreshSTART staff regarding transportation needs and schedules.

    Qualifications:

    Valid driver's license.

    Clean driving record.

    Reliable and responsible.

    Compassionate and understanding of the challenges of recovery and trauma.

    Time Commitment:

     

    Flexible based on your availability.

    Typically, volunteer drivers are needed during weekdays and weekends.

    Description: FreshSTART is seeking Life Skills Instructors specializing in various areas to facilitate classes and workshops aimed at teaching essential life skills to our residents. The Life Skills Instructors will develop and deliver curriculum covering topics such as anger management, financial literacy, interview skills, and leadership. The goal is to empower residents with the knowledge and skills they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives post-recovery.

     

    Responsibilities: Develop and deliver specialized life skills curriculum tailored to the needs of residents.

    Facilitate classes and workshops in a group setting.

    Provide one-on-one coaching and support to residents as needed.

    Collaborate with other staff members to ensure holistic support for residents.

    Maintain accurate records of class attendance and resident progress.

    Stay updated on best practices in specialized life skills education and recovery support.

    Qualifications: Experience in teaching or facilitating specialized life skills classes.

    Knowledge of the specific area of specialization (e.g., anger management, financial literacy, interview skills, leadership).

    Engage with event attendees to promote FreshSTART's mission and programs.

    Collaborate with staff and other volunteers to ensure the success of fundraising events.

    Assist in post-event evaluations and reporting.
